Just a week into 2025, and the inevitable impacts of climate change are already hitting painfully close to home. Given the events unfolding in Los Angeles, we decided to take a break from our regularly scheduled programming to acknowledge those affected by the Palisades and Eaton fires and other conflagrations ravaging the area.
The devastation of extreme events like these goes far beyond the loss of homes, buildings, and landscapes—it reshapes lives, communities, and futures. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted during this difficult time.
In this week's podcast, Cody speaks with Kathryn Bakos from the Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation about creating resilience in the face of climate-induced risks and disasters. Kathryn’s insights highlight actionable steps we can take to better prepare for and adapt to the increasing frequency of these events.
