Introducing the MCJ Climate Tech Startup Series
Learn more about the climate tech startup landscape from the companies in the trenches.
As we’ve been plowing forward with the MCJ podcast and member community, we’ve uncovered that there is a specific, acute desire from many to better understand the climate tech startup landscape. This could be to make potential investments, to find companies to work at, to find companies to partner with, or to get ideas for what kinds of companies to start, amongst others.
Concurrently, we’ve heard from many climate tech startup founders that have been clamoring for more opportunities for visibility to share their stories. Climate tech is important, and wanted to give it a dedicated platform to showcase on an ongoing basis.
For these reasons, we are pleased to announce the MCJ Climate Tech Startup Series. This is a weekly series, in addition to the podcast, that will showcase a new climate tech startup every week. The format is a company overview, with slides, from the company founder(s), followed by some Q&A from me. Our hope is that it will enable these startups to get more visibility, while helping build a bridge for those interested in the climate tech startup ecosystem to have a better sense for how to engage with it, and which companies to target.
This series will be offered as a benefit of being an MCJ member. You can learn more about membership here.
And if you are a startup interested in coming on the show, feel free to get in touch (please include company name, description, stage, progress-to-date, and a prior video pitch, if you have one handy).
The first episode preview is here (or the full episode here for existing members), featuring Living Carbon, a very cool startup using biotechnology to develop trees that better capture and store carbon. We hope you enjoy it!
