🎙️ This week on the My Climate Journey podcast…
🔥 You’ve likely seen some of Stand.earth creative climate campaigns spanning from data-driven approaches to viral videos and traditional activism. Stand.earth’s Executive Director, Todd Paglia, joined us on the show to talk about the nonprofit's approach and early history of viral campaigns. We also cover a range of topics, including why healthcare divestment from fossil fuels is desperately needed, the role employees play in influencing their companies' decarbonization plans, and a few big retail brands that are doing relatively well when it comes to sustainability.
🇸🇬 Next up on Jason’s Capital Series our guest was Jeff Johnson, Managing Director at Temasek, where he leads the US-based Sustainable Investing team. Temasek is headquartered in Singapore and supported by 13 offices across nine countries with a $287 billion portfolio, mainly in Singapore and the rest of Asia. We have a great conversation about the mission of the Sustainable Investing Team, Jeff's journey, investment criteria, and their role in the ever-evolving climate tech landscape and energy transition.
❄️ And finally, we cooled down the week with Hannah Sieber, CEO and Co-founder at Artyc. Hannah gave us a lesson on the cold chain, how it works and where it breaks down. We also cover Hannah’s credentials for tackling cold chain emissions, plus her company’s refrigerant-free battery-powered solution. MCJ is proud to be a multiple time investor in Artyc via our venture capital funds.
